This liquid discharging device comprises a first nozzle row with a plurality of nozzles for discharging liquid drops on a medium to form dots on the medium, arranged at the predetermined nozzle pitch in a direction which intersects a moving direction relative to the medium; a second nozzle row with a plurality of nozzles for discharging liquid drops on the medium to form dots on the medium, arranged at the predetermined nozzle pitch in a direction which intersects a moving direction relative to the medium, and shifted in the arranged direction of the nozzles with respect to the position of the first nozzle row; and a controller which selects partial nozzles out of the plurality of nozzles in the first nozzle row and second nozzle row, controls the discharge of liquid drops from the selected nozzles to form dot rows in the arranged direction of the nozzles, and forms the dot row while changing the selected partial nozzles.
