The liquid ejection device includes: a liquid ejection part which ejects liquid; a liquid supply path which supplies liquid to the liquid ejection part; the inner surfaces forming an inner space communicated with the liquid supply path; and the pressure change alleviating member where the capacity of the inner space is variable to alleviate a pressure change of the liquid in the liquid supply path. The inner surfaces of the pressure change alleviating member are rough. The liquid ejection device has a liquid applying means for applying the liquid to the inner surfaces of the pressure change alleviating member.
