To provide an inkjet recording device which can perform an efficient flushing process by distinguishing flushing conditions per nozzle opening.
This inkjet recording device comprises a head member 6 with a plurality of nozzle openings 15, a head scanning mechanism, a liquid jet means which jets a liquid from each nozzle opening while the head member 6 is moving in a main scanning direction, based on liquid jet data per nozzle opening, and a thickening recognition means 138 which recognizes the thickening level of the liquid per nozzle opening. In addition, the first distinguishing part 130a of a flushing control means 130 decides whether or not there are the nozzle openings which currently require a flushing operation for jetting the liquid and further, require the jetting of the liquid during the next movement of the head member 6 in the main scanning direction.
