Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid softning finisher composition for household washing capable of giving excellent flexibility and elasticity to synthetic fibers, and having good shelf stability by formulating a specific tertiary amine compound and a specific compound.
SOLUTION: This composition is prepared by formulating (A) 3-25 wt.% of at least one of a tertiary amine compound of formula II-IV [R1, R2, R4, R5, R7 and R8 are each a 11-23C straight-chain alkyl, a 11-23C straight-chain alkenyl; R3, R6, R9 and R10 are each a 1-3C (hydroxy)alkyl; R11 is a 14-36C branched-chain alkyl; (m) and (n) are each 1-3], a salt obtained by reaction of the amine compound with an inorganic acid or a 1-6C organic acid, and its quaternary product, which have at least one long-chain bond group containing a 11-36C alkyl or alkenyl along with an ester bond, an acid amide bond or an ether bond, and (B) 0.1-5 wt.% of a compound of formula I [(n) is 1-3], and adjusting the resultant composition so as to have the pH of 1.3-5.5 and the viscosity of 2-300 mPa.s at 20°C when measured by the Brookfield type viscometer.
