To prevent the generation of noise when a user is not on a sheet and to save the energy of an operation in a water massage bed.
The water massage bed is provided with a water tank, a sheet covering the upper side opening of the water tank, a jetting device for jetting water inside the water tank to the back side of the sheet, and an infrared sensor 90 for detecting the user 10 on the sheet. The infrared sensor 90 is attached to a column 16. When the user is not lying on the sheet, a controller inhibits the operation of the jetting device. When the user leaves the sheet during a massage operation, the controller temporarily stops the operation of the jetting device. When the user returns onto the sheet, the controller restarts the operation of the jetting device.
