Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid volume detection device capable of suitably securing a volume of addition liquid necessary for maintaining a function of an addition valve.SOLUTION: A urea addition valve 230 with urea water for exhaust purification supplied thereto is installed in an exhaust passage 26 of an engine 1. A control device 80 calculates a required addition volume which is a volume of the urea water necessary for executing cooling addition to cool the urea addition valve 230 on the basis of a remaining amount of fuel in a fuel tank storing engine fuel. The control device 80 also performs notification of the remaining volume of the urea water when the remaining volume of the urea water in a tank 210 storing the urea water is reduced to the calculated required addition volume.
