To accurately and easily detect whether a load body applied onto a seat face is a stationary body or a human body, using a relatively simple and inexpensive circuit constitution.
Linear load sensors 10a, 10b are arranged to be developed two-dimensionally, the presence of a potential change between electrode members 22, 23 in any of the sensors 10a, 10b is detected at a fixed time by a fixed time to find a time-serial differential when pressing force is impressed vertically, so as to be decided as a stationary body when the differential is zero, and to be decided as a human body, when the differentail is a positive or negative value. In this case, two kinds of loads are detected separately by the load sensors 10a, 10b to decide whehter the human body is an adult or a child in the case of a human body.
