To provide a load sensor with improved sensitivity of sensor output and improved precision in linearity, and to provide a wheel bearing with a sensor, i.e. the load sensor.
The load sensor 21 is installed to the wheel bearing, in which double rows of rolling elements 5 are interposed between rolling faces 3, 4 of an external member 1 with flange 1a for installation to a vehicle body and an internal member 2. The load sensor 21 has a sensor support member 22, and a sensor element 23 attached to the sensor support member 22 and detecting an operating force between a tire and a road surface or a preload amount of the wheel bearing. The sensor support member 22 is in a shape of a block, is provided with an inward face 22a in contact with an outer peripheral face of the external member 1 and a lateral face 22b in contact with a side face of the flange 1a for installation to vehicle body, and is attached to the external member 1.
