PURPOSE: To retain the durability of a lock box relative to a lock face plate by providing a lock construction in which a lock box with a built-in control mechanism for a lock mechanism element is fixed to a projection protruded to the inner side surface of the lock face plate adhered to a front butt end of a door, window or flap.

CONSTITUTION: A lock 2 with a built-in control mechanism of lock mechanism elements 4, 5 comprises a case 15 with a cover, and coupling means 14 for cooperating with a projection 13 for attaching the case 15. And a plurality of drilled holes 21, through which the projections 13 of the lock face plate 3 penetrate at predetermined positions, are provided for attaching legs 17, 18 coupled to the front butt end 19 of the case 15 and it is attached almost in parallel to the surface 20 of the lock face plate 3. Also for attaching the lock hardware 1, the positioning of case 15, especially the positioning for attaching legs 17, 18 is performed, the lock face plate 3 is fastened to the case 15 with rivets, and a cover is attached after the control mechanism of the lock mechanism element is attached inside the case 15. Moreover, the projection 13 is upset from the outer surface 23 of the lock face plate 3 to its plate member, and the jointing with the lock box 2 is performed solidly and perfectly.
