To enhance absorption performance of minute torsional vibration by controlling friction resistance between a spring seat arranged at the end of a coil spring and a retaining plate.
A lock-up damper included in a lock-up mechanism 8 of a torque converter 1 is provided with a piston member 9, a driven member 10, a coil spring 13 and a seat member 40. The coil spring 13 is arranged between the piston member 9 and the driven member 10. The seat member 42 is attached to the driven member 10, and has a loose fitting part 41c only on its one side to be fitted loosely to the end of the coil spring 13. The seat member 42 regulates movement of the end of the coil spring 13 in the radially outward direction when the spring 13 is fitted in a loosely fitting part 42c.
