Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degradation of sealability of a piston sliding portion in a lock-up device.SOLUTION: A lock-up device includes a piston 30, a cover plate 41, a supporting boss 40, and a seal member 45. The cover plate 41 is disposed between the piston 30 and the turbine 4, and forms a first oil chamber C1. The supporting boss 40 is fixed to an inner peripheral portion of the front cover 2, and has a piston supporting portion 40b, a welding portion 40c, and an intermediate portion 40e. The piston supporting portion 40b slidably supports an inner peripheral end face of the piston 30. The welding portion 40c has a diameter smaller than the piston supporting portion 40b, and an inner peripheral portion of the cover plate 41 is welded thereto. The intermediate portion 40e has an intermediate diameter between the piston supporting portion 40b and the welding portion 40c, and has an opening for supplying a hydraulic oil to the first oil chamber C1.
