Abstract:
To provide a locking nut effectively suppressing variation of a prevailing torque, and having such high reliability as to obtain a demanded stable locking effect always and accurately.SOLUTION: A locking nut comprises a hexagonal nut body 3 having a screw hole 2 in the center part, and a cylindrical boss 5 integrally connected upward from the nut body 3 and having a screw hole 4 continuing to the screw hole 2 of the nut body 3 in the center part. The cylindrical boss 5 is formed more thinly and evenly than the nut body 3, and the tip three portions of the cylindrical boss 5 are deformed by pressing inwardly from the outer periphery by two pitches from the tip, and simultaneously, a screw hole diameter and a screw hole pitch are deformed so as to form deformation parts 6...6 for causing a pitch error.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
