To provide a lotion for skin external application which includes chlorpheniramine maleate, has good transparent stability, and also has good usability.

The lotion for skin external application includes (a) 0.01-1 mass% of chlorpheniramine maleate, (b) 0.05-0.5 mass% of a glycyrrhizinate selected from among dipotassium glycyrrhizinate and monoammonium glycyrrhizinate, (c) 0.01-2 mass% of a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether selected from among POE(20) cetyl ether, POE(30) cetyl ether, POE(20) stearyl ether, POE(20) oleyl ether, POE(30) behenyl ether, and POE(20)-POP(4) cetyl ether, and (d) 1-30 mass% of a moisturizer selected from among concentrated glycerin, propylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, 1,3-butylene glycol, polyethylene glycol, and sodium hyaluronate.
