PURPOSE: To obtain a stable quality casting having few casting defects by constantly pouring under a constant pressure in casting from the beginning to the last.

CONSTITUTION: The device is arranged with an elevating means 16, 17, 18 of a distance sensor 28 to detect a level of molten metal in a crucible 20 and a correcting device 29. By the correcting device 29, the optimum reference level of molten metal is set and memorized, by comparing this value and the molten metal level measured by the distance sensor 28, a difference in distance is obtained, the molten metal level is kept constant by elevating/lowering the crucible by the difference. Because a molten metal level is always constant, pouring is executed under a constant pressurizing force.
