Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel oxysulfide that has improved photocatalytic activity and can be applied as a catalyst for water photolysis.SOLUTION: The oxysulfide comprises La, Ti and Cu, wherein at least one dope element (X) selected from alkali metal, alkaline earth metal, group 3, group 4, group 6, group 11, group 12, group 13 and group 14 in the periodic table is contained in the amount of 0.01 atom % or more with the total of La, Ti and the dope element (X) as a reference (100 atom %).
