Title:
LOW-SEDIMENTATION METHOD FOR THERMAL REACTION BETWEEN HIGHLY REACTIVE POLYMER AND ENOPHILE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005008886
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an improved thermal reaction method wherein the filtration of a reaction product is facilitated or dispensed with by reducing the amounts of sediment and/or tar and by totally removing or further reducing the amount particularly of the sediment.

The method is an ene reaction product manufacturing method which includes a thermal reaction between a polyalkene and an enophile, wherein the polyalkene has a number-average molecular weight (Mn) of approximately 300-5,000 and having an end vinylidene content of at least 30%. The thermal reaction proceeds at approximately ≥180°C, practically in the absence of halogens and the presence of a free radical inhibitor of approximately 10-2,000 ppm based on the polyalkene weight.
