Abstract:
To provide a lubricant for cold forging having high extreme pressure durability, and excellent lubrication durability, and to further provide a lubricant for cold forging capable of forming a lubricating film having excellent durability without carrying out a surface treatment.
The lubricant for cold forging, containing molybdenum disulfide and graphite comprises zinc sulfide, further contains a binder, and the compounding ratio is preferably 45-65 wt.% of the molybdenum disulfide, 5-30 wt.% of the graphite, 10-20 wt.% of the zinc sulfide, and 10-20 wt.% of the binder. A method for cold forging is characterized by applying the lubricant for cold forging to a workpiece to carry out cold forging.
