Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant which does not spontaneously ignite even when the surface temperature of a shell becomes high and which exhibits improved abrasion resistance and buffer effect by applying a lubricant containing a soft alloy, a water-soluble binder having a strong adhesiveness, and water to the contact surface between a supporting block of a rotary kiln apparatus and a tire to thereby form a dry film.
SOLUTION: A rotary kiln comprising refractory bricks 2 assembled into a tubular shape and a shell 3 installed around the same is freely rotatably installed, and an anular tire 5 freely rotatably supported on a carrier 6 is installed via supporting blocks 4 on the outer peripheral surface of the shell 3. To the contact surface between the supporting blocks 4 and the tire 5, a lubricant for a rotary kiln containing 80 wt.% or lower soft alloy having a particle size of 5-20 μm, a water-soluble binder having a strong adhesiveness, and water is applied to thereby form a dry film.
