PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a lubricating oil passage structure by providing an inclined lubricating oil supplying passage for supplying the lubricating oil from a cylinder block side to a rocker shaft hollow part on the front end part of a cylinder head, so that the lubricating oil in the shaft hollow part can be supplied to a cam bearing part through a lubricating oil guide passage.
SOLUTION: In a SOHC(single overhead cam) engine, a cam bearing part 41 situated on the most front of a plurality of cam bearing parts for rotatably bearing a cam shaft is arranged on the front end part of a cylinder head 3. A press-fitting recessed part 69 for fitting and fixing the front end of a rocker shaft 30 is provided obliquely above the cam shaft bearing part 68 of the bearing part 41, and the upper end part of an inclined lubricating oil supplying passage 65 formed on the front end of the cylinder head 3 is opened to the recessed part 69. Thus, the lubricating oil in the supplying passage 65 can be supplied to a rocker shaft hollow part 64. The cam cap 62 of the cam bearing part 41 has a lubricating oil guide passage 66 for guiding the lubricating oil, in the hollow part 64 to each part.
