Abstract:
To provide a lubrication oil peculiar in that it has a high coefficient of friction and a positive gradient μ-V characteristic.
The lubrication oil composition comprises a lubricating base oil containing hydrophobic silica as ingredient (A) and a compound having a monovalent hydrocarbon group with at least six carbon atoms and at least two hydroxy groups in the molecule as ingredient (B). The use of the lubrication oil having these characteristics for a transmission fluid reduces the power loss of the transmission and eliminates the occurrence of a shudder.
