Abstract:

To provide an improved control device for a luggage compartment of an aircraft.

A detecting portion is integrated with the luggage compartment of the aircraft, is provided with a capacitive sensor 34 having an active layer. The capacitive sensor is adapted to detect a first event triggered by a user, and the detecting portion is adapted to transmit a first control signal to a control mechanism. The first control signal corresponds to the first event, and the active layer includes carbon fibers electrically isolated from a surrounding compartment structure.
