To provide a luminaire that can decrease frictional sound (noise).

This luminaire is constituted of a lighting apparatus 5 that is equipped with a lamp socket 13 to which a lamp 4 can be attached freely detachably, a pole 3 to the tip of which is fitted the lighting apparatus 5, and a base 1 that is secured the end of the pole 3 and is mounted on a place such as a desk. The lighting apparatus 5 is constituted of an upper shade with lower part open, a lower shade fixed on the upper shade covering a part of lower opening of the upper shade. A contact part that reduces the contact area of an inner wall of the upper shade and a support metal fitting is provided on at least either of an inner wall of the upper shade or the support metal fitting that supports the pole.
