PURPOSE: To heighten brightness in the central portion so as to reduce the nonuniformity of the brightness by utilizing light from the back surface side of a circular fluorescent lamp effectively.
CONSTITUTION: A luminaire is provided with a light guide body 11 on the surface of which an annular recessed portion 14, in which the circular fluorescent lamp 1 is interposed, is provided and which guides incident light on the recessed portion 14 from the circular fluorescent lamp 1 to a central portion. A socket 15 is interposed in the recessed portion 14 of the light guide body 11. Thereby, the light emitted from the back surface side of the circular fluorescent lamp 1 facing the recessed portion 14 of the light guide body 11 is incident on the light guide body 11, and is guided to the central portion so that the brightness in the central portion is heightened so as to reduce the nonuniformity of the brightness.
