Title:
THERMAL RECORDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3133469
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the imbalance of temperatures of heat generating resistors for individual pixels at print starting point and to eliminate a complicated history control circuit, by unifying the energization rate to heat generating resistors corresponding to the individual pixels regardless of gradation data and by controlling variably an energizing pulse frequency applied to the heat generating resistors in response to the gradation data.
CONSTITUTION: An energization rate to heat generating resistors corresponding to individual pixels, regardless of gradation data, is unified and an energizing pulse frequency that is applied to the heat generating resistors is controlled variably in response to the gradation data. In addition, it is possible to perform more precise gradation control by controlling the energization rate and/or an energization pulse width per an energization pulse cycle. That is, when the density gradation control between printing with energization pulse data of 2 cycles and that of 4 cycles is performed under the conditions that the energization rate corresponding to a pixel is 50%, the energization pulse frequency corresponding to a pixel is unified to that of 4 divisional print, and the energization rate and/or the energization pulse width is variably controlled.
