To provide a machine for cutting decorative elements designed to be attached to a frustoconical base element.

This machine includes at least a cutting station 40 supplied by at least a blank strip 63 on which is printed a sequence of decorative elements 3 of frustoconical shape, separated by portions 31 trapezoidal shape. Each cutting station 40 is furnished with a cutting means 41 arranged to carry out the cutting of the portions 31 between the two decorative elements 3 and with means for clearing away these portions 31 comprising a tool for extracting each portion from the cutting station 40. An assembly for forming the frustoconical base elements 3 and for placing decorative elements 3 comprises such a cutting machine.
