The dust collecting device 3 has a dust collecting space B enclosed by four side walls 8, 9, 10, and 11 between a lens 1 and a base member 4, and the side walls 8 and 9 of the dust collecting space B opposing to each other are provided with the air intake ports 5 and 6 and the exhaust port 7. The air intake ports 5 and 6 are constructed in a vertically separated form. The total amount of the intake air supplied from the intake ports 5 and 6 to the dust collecting space B is 30 to 70% of the discharged air discharged from the exhaust port 7 and the amount of the intake air supplied from the lower side intake port 6 is 1.5 to 4.5 times the amount of the intake air supplied from the upper side intake port 5.
