Title:
MACHINING TOOL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3858988
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining tool, which can carry out machining while supplying a required machining fluid to a place requiring the fluid without lowering its stiffness, and thus can elongate its service life.
SOLUTION: A reamer 1 is provided with an oil bore 4 composed of a fluid supply passage 2 formed therein so as to supply machining fluid and a plurality of distribution holes 3 branched off the fluid supply passage 2 so as to open toward the outside of a cutting edge portion 10. The branch points 30 of the respective distribution holes 3, where the distribution holes 3 communicate with the fluid supply passage 2, are arranged such that the branch points 30 are located separate from a breakage region R, and are shifted respectively so as not to overlap with each other in the axial direction of the reamer 1. Because the distribution hole 3a does not pass through the breakage region R, the cross sectional area of the breakage region R is reduced only by the distribution holes 3b and 3c. Accordingly, the degree of reduction of the cross sectional area in the breakage region R becomes small.
