Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Mg alloy having both of strength and ductility, and an Mg alloy having thermal stability in addition to strength and ductility.SOLUTION: (a) An alloy powder containing alloy particle AP of Mg, Sn and Zn is formed by scattering a dissolution liquid of Mg, Sn and Zn to make the dissolution liquid as a droplet and dispersing and solidifying the same, (b) a powder metallurgy material MT is formed by adding a powder of B (boron) (particle of added element EP) to the alloy powder and mixing them, and (c) an Mg alloy (sintered body ST) is formed by sintering the powder metallurgy material MT at a temperature of less than the melting point of Mg. Thereby B (boron) or MgBcan be formed on a sinter boundary SI of the Mg alloy (sintered body ST), and moderate toughness can be provided. B (boron) or MgBis thermally stable and heat resistance can be enhanced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
