Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a magnesium alloy which has excellent workability at ordinary temperature and also has high flame retardancy and strength.

An ingot subjected to solution treatment is pressed and forged from multidirections in order, respectively (multidirection forging process). In the multidirection forging process, e.g., when the ingot 10 passed through a process C is a cube as shown in Fig. (a), the ingot is pressed and forged from the respective axis directions of the X-axis, Y-axis and Z-axis forming a right angle each other to the ingot 10 for two or more times, respectively.
