Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the thinning of a device more than ever by forming a protrusive part protruding in a direction parallel to the confronting plane of a mechanism part and a circuit substrate, and providing a connector to connect another equipment to the protrusive part. CONSTITUTION:This device is comprised of a head disk assembly (HDA) 13 consisting of a spindle motor 11 to drive a magnetic disk 9 housed in a sealed container 7 which forms a housing, etc., and a printed circuit board (PCB) 15 consisting of an electronic circuit such as a circuit for interface, etc. In such a case, the protrusive part 15a in which part of PCB 15 is protruded by protrusive dimension E in a leftward direction from the HDA 13 in figure is formed. An interface connector 17 is packaged on the protrusive part 15a. Thereby, the thinning can be realized without constraining the thickness of the whole device by the connector.
