PURPOSE: To change over the reproduction automatically, by controlling the acoustic reproduction means and film feed speed changeover means with track detection signals.

CONSTITUTION: A photo coupler 23 is connected to an equalizer 35, and motor drive control circuit 38 by way of switching circuit 27 and relay 29. When a film 1 passes through the photo coupler 23, whether the acoustic track in the film 1 is magnetic or optical is detected by the presence or absence of the action of photo transistor 22, and the switching circuit 27 is changed over accordingly, thereby controlling the enforcement of the relay 29, so that selector switches 30, 34, 36, and ON/OFF switch 33 are changed over. As a result, a magnetic head 9 or exciter lamp 11 and an optical reproduction photo detector 13 are selectively operated, and the rotating speed of the motor 37 is changed over, thus changing over the film travel speed.
