Abstract:
PURPOSE:To shield the part of a weak magnetic field in the bottom of the magnetic field to leak from a magnetic head, to impress only the sharp magnetic field to a magnetic film and to attain high speed recording by providing a shield film, which is composed of the superconductor of the second kind, in a surface to face to the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:In the surface of a magnetic film 21 to be provided on a substrate 20, namely, in the surface to face to the magnetic head, a thin shield film 22 is provided. The shield film 22 is formed by the superconductor of the second kind, whose lower part critical magnetic field is the coercive force of the magnetic film 21. Thus, since the part of the weak magnetic field is shielded in the bottom of the magnetic field to leak from the magnetic head, only the magnetic field to be equivalently strong is localized and sharp magnetic field distribution can be obtained.
