Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the lack of information and also the occurrence of click noise, which are generated upon FM demodulation at the time of reproducing by providing a demodulator for demodulating a carrier wave of an FM audio signal and then outputting the audio signal and a carrier wave frequency control circuit for altering the carrier wave frequency of the demodulator based on an output level of a system discriminating circuit. CONSTITUTION:The subject device is provided with the system discriminating circuit 17 for discriminating a signal recording system recorded in a magnetic recording medium, the demodulator 9 for demodulating the FM audio signal and then outputting the audio signal and the carrier wave frequency control circuit 16 for altering the carrier wave frequency of the demodulator 9 in accordance with an output level of the system discriminating circuit 17 for outputting a level set by a magnetic recording and reproducing system. Consequently, without adjusting any performance and function of a common circuit for systems at all, the carrier wave frequency of the demodulator can be altered by adapting a signal recording system recorded in a magnetic recording medium in sharing this circuit. By this method, the lack of information and abnormal noise can be prevented at the time of reproducing an audio signal recorded in other format.
