Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic sensor having a function to convert magnetic field components in a specific direction into components in another direction and also having the structure to hardly permit any problem of offset misalignment to arise.SOLUTION: A magnetic sensor 10 arranged on a first face 15A, which is one face of a substrate 15, is equipped with magneto-resistance effect elements 21 and 22 having their sensitivity axes in a first direction, which is one of the intra-facial directions of the first face 15A, a non-magnetic layers part 40 consisting of non-magnetic material and having erect faces 40S1 and 40S2 in a direction away from the first face 15A and soft magnetic layers 35 and 36 disposed on the erect faces 40S1 and 40S2. The magneto-resistance effect elements 21 and 22, and the soft magnetic layers 35 and 36 are arranged without contact from each other so that magnetic components having passed the soft magnetic layers 35 and 36 are applied to the magneto-resistance effect elements 21 and 22 when any external magnetic field is applied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
