Title:
PUMP FOR MOLTEN METAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3121251
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump for molten metal, in which the molten metal is surely sucked while providing the heat resistance and can quantitatively be carried at a fixed pressure.
SOLUTION: In the pump for molten metal providing a cylinder 1, a piston (2) fitted into the cylinder so as to be vertically and freely slid, a molten metal sucking part 5 communicated with a molten metal incorporating space 4 between the cylinder 1 and the piston (2) and a molten metal discharging part 6, a sliding valve 3 is arranged in a piston shaft 2b vertically and slidingly operating the piston (2). A communicating passage 7 in the sliding valve 3 is arranged so as to be possible to change over a first state for communicating the molten metal incorporating space 4 with the molten metal sucking part 5, and a second state for communicating the molten metal incorporating space 4 with the molten metal discharging part 6.
