Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a man type robot of a two-leg walking system with its fingertips near ends of hands protected from impacts or the like when fall down or the like, and also to provide storage mechanisms for the fingertips.
SOLUTION: The man type robot of the two-leg walking system comprises a trunk 11, legs 12L, 12R attached to both sides of a lower part of the trunk 11, arms 13L, 13R attached to both sides of an upper part of the trunk 11, a head 14 attached to an upper end of the trunk 11. The arms 13L, 13R have two upper arm parts 25L, 25R swingably attached to the trunk in two axial directions and lower arm parts 26L, 26R swingably attached to the upper arm parts respectively in one axial direction, and hands 27L, 27R swingably attached to the lower arm parts respectively in two axial directions. The fingertips 42, 43 of the hands 27L, 27R are configured to be stored in the storage mechanisms 40 for the fingertips. At least parts of the fingertips are not exposed outside the storage mechanisms 40 for the fingertips when these fingertips are stored therein.
