To execute the maintenance of a gate controller for executing the locking/unlocking a door so as to prevent people from being confined when executing the maintenance in an entrance/exit management system.
In the entrance/exit management system, whether there is people within an area is detected on the basis of information that the people enters/leaves to/from an area with respect to the area corresponding to the gate controller whose maintenance is executed. When there is people within the area, maintenance execution is not instructed. However, if there is another door that enables people to leave the area, that there is another gate controller corresponding to the another door, and that the maintenance of the another gate controller is not executed, maintenance is executed.
