Abstract:
To provide a high mobility propulsion device for a vessel such as a low speed pilot boat which is comparatively small sized requiring a high level maneuvering performance such as a harbor work barge.SOLUTION: A high mobility propulsion device for a vessel is characterized by including: a jet stream propeller composed of two bow nozzles and two bow flow control valves on a bow of a boat, three port-side nozzles and three port-side flow control valves on a port side of the boat, three starboard side nozzles and three starboard flor control valves on a starboard side of the boat, and three stern nozzles and three stern flow control valves on a stern of the boat; pumps and pipes for supplying stream to a water inlet arranged on a bottom of the boat and the jet stream propeller; and a controller for controlling supplied water amount and discharge direction of the jet stream propeller.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
