Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a manhole cover support frame which has a hose retaining function and a simple structure and can be manufactured inexpensively, by a method wherein a hose retainer equipped with a hose insertion hole is provided at the inside edge of the main body of the cover support frame.
SOLUTION: A hose retainer 1 equipped with a hose insertion hole 3 is provided at the inside edge of the main body 2 of a manhole cover support frame and the dimension of the hose insertion hole is made the same substantially with that of the section of a hose at the time when water is passed through the hose, while a slit 5 for insertion of the hose which communicates with the hose insertion hole 3 and has an opening equal substantially to the thickness of the hose at the time when it is flat is provided in the hose retainer 1. On the occasion when the hose is fitted, the hose in a flat state is inserted through the slit 5 and, when passing of water is started, it is inflated to be in close contact with the hose insertion hole 3 and prevented from slipping off and consequently from disengaging during the passing of water. Since only the hose retainer 1 of a simple structure is provided, according to this constitution, the manhole cover support frame be manufactured inexpensively.
