Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lift and lower on the inside of a manhole safely by engaging an engaging section with a first foot fitting in the manhole, locking a locking recessed section to the projection section of a manhole cover frame and locking a support in the manhole.
SOLUTION: Handle sections 2, a horizontal muntin 3, locking means 5 and an engaging section 4 are formed to a support 1 consisting of a U-shaped pipe. The support 1 is composed of a support 1a, in which a support 1c is expanded and contracted, and a support 1b, in which a support 1d is expanded and contracted, and fasteners 12a, 12b are installed to the supports 1a, 1b. The locking means 5 slidably inserted to the supports 1c, 1d have fixing screws 4a, 4b, screw handles 8, screws 7 and locking recessed sections 9. The engaging section 4 is engaged with a first foot fitting 10 in a manhole, and the locking recessed sections 9 are locked to the projecting section 11 of a manhole cover frame. Accordingly, an operator safely lowers in the manhole and can conduct operation at the time of night and rainy weather.
