PURPOSE: To enhance the appearance of manhole by interposing a coil spring between indication pieces, which are placed on a base plate and coupled together, and a manhole frame fixed to the base plate, and filling inside of the manhole frame with concrete.

CONSTITUTION: A plurality of indication pieces 1 are furnished to indicate the name, emblem, etc., of authority in charge, purpose of installation, and so on, and the rear surfaces of these pieces 1 are coupled together by coupling arm(s) 6, to form a nameplate 7. which is placed on a base plate 2. A manhole frame 3 is fixed onto this base plate 2 using a vise 4, and a coil spring 8 is interposed between a lattice 3a at the bottom surface of the manhole frame 3 and the nameplate 7. Concrete 5 is poured inside of the frame 3 from over the lattice 3a, and the base plate 2 is excited upon a vibrating machine to promote uniform filling of the concrete 5. Thereby each piece of the nameplate is prevented from dislocation, and drop in appearance is precluded because the coupling arm is not exposed at the lid surface.
