Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a manipulator for wire connection, which eliminate a need for pulling an electrical wire out for inspection after it has been inserted into the equipment.
CONSTITUTION: A chuck 6 holding an electrical wire 4 is moved to a terminal stand 2 by a movable arm 5 in such a way that the chuck is approaching thereto so as to allow the electrical wire 4 to be inserted into an electrical wire insertion hole opened to the terminal stand 2. A strain gauge 7 is fixed on to the chuck 6 to detect the insertion force of the electrical wire 4. The connecting condition of the electrical wire 4 is judged by a control section 8 based on the change pattern of insertion force detected by the strain gauge 7.
