Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect the surface of a card from being damaged by preventing generation of data processing failure.
SOLUTION: A holder 42 fitted with a magnetic head 41 is movably supported in arrow A or B directions. An engagement member 43 rotatably supported on the holder 42 through a shaft 51 is protrudingly formed with a pin 52 and is formed with an engagement part 54 facing a card conveyance path 20. The holder 42 is forced in the arrow B direction by a compression coil spring. When the holder 42 is moved in the arrow A direction, the pin 52 is guided to a first guide path 26. When the holder 42 is moved in the arrow B direction, the pin 52 is guided to a second guide path 27, and the engagement member 43 separates from the card P. When the holder 42 moves to a prescribed position by the insertion of the card P, the pin 52 is rotated by a solenoid, and the pin 52 is guided to the second guide path 27 from the first guide path 26.
