To provide an inexpensive and simple crimping tool that can reduce labor of a handle operator and can flexibly cope with troubles at crimp work.
This crimping tool 2 is supported with sliding members 15, 16 and is supported at a fulcrum 21, and the support position of the crimp tool 2 is adjusted using an adjusting bolt 19. Then, after a contact is inserted into a crimp groove 20a of a crimp knife-edge 20 from one surface side of the crimp knife-edge 20 and an electric wire is inserted into the other surface side, when a lever 11 is operated in the arrow direction in the figure so as to close a handle 3. Since a spur gear 10 and an arm 14 rotate in the arrow P direction in the figure, a spur gear 9 and an arm 13 rotate in the arrow Q direction. Then sliding members 15, 16 of the both arms 13, 14 respectively slide along the arrow S and R directions, a handle 3 can be closed, so that the contact is crimped on the electric wire at the crimp knife-edge 20.
