Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily manufacture alumina dispersed copper excellent in electric and mechanical characteristic by melting Cu and Al, evaporating and drying this soln., calcining it, thereafter executing pulverizing, reducing this powder, thereafter compacting it and executing cold working.
CONSTITUTION: Cu and Al are melted into a soln., which is evaporated and dried, is thereafter calcined at about 800°C and is pulverized into powder. Then, this powder is reduced at about 600°C in a hydrogen gas flow, is compacted in an inert atmosphere and is cold-worked. In this way, the alumina dispersed copper having high electric conductivity as well as relatively high strength and heat resistance can easily be manufactured.
