Abstract:

PURPOSE: To manufacture an Al alloy sheet for working excellent in gnawing resistance, scratching resistance and corrosion resistance at the time of press forming by diffusing Zn in plating over the surface of an Al-Mg alloy sheet having a specified compsn. and thereafter executing heat treatment under specified conditions.
CONSTITUTION: On the surface of an Al alloy sheet contg., by weight, 2.0 to 8.0% Mg, contg., at need, one or two kinds of 0.05 to 1.5% Cu and 0.05 to 2.5% Zn and furthermore contg. one or ≥ two kinds among 0.05 to 0.6% Mn, 0.05 to 0.3% Cr and 0.05 to 0.3% Zr, a plated layer contg. ≥5% Zn is formed by the amt. of 0.1g/m2 as Zn by electroplating or the like, and after that, heating is executed at 400 to 580°C within 1440min to diffuse Zn over the surface of the Al alloy and to form an Al-Zn-Mg alloy layer. In the case the subsequent cooling rate is regulated to ≥50°C/min, it is left as it is, and in the case of <50°C/min, it is furthermore subjected to final annealing of executing heating to 350 to 580°C and thereafter executing cooling at ≥50°C/min cooling rate. Finally, it is subjected to artificial aging treatment of executing heating at 80 to 200°C for 1 to 48hr.
