Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the whole of a process by simultaneously performing an annealing process for eliminating permanent strain in a glass substrate and a first burning process for burning a machined material made of a low melting point glass paste.
SOLUTION: In manufacture of a back plate 620 for a plasma display panel, each of a base layer 667, electrode wiring 680, a dielectric layer 665, and a barrier wall 630 is formed by burning machined material made of a low melting point glass paste for formation of each of them. In formation of the electrode wiring 680 and the barrier rib 630, a printing plate formation process using a photomask is employed. In a machining step, an unannealed glass substrate 620 is prepared, a low melting point glass paste for forming the base layer 667 is applied onto one face of the glass substrate 620, and a first burning process is carried out for burning the paste. In this first burning process, an annealing process for eliminating permanent strain of the glass substrate 620 is carried out at the same time.
