Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly and stably transfer various sheets onto a feeder board, to greatly reduce the loosening of the sheets, to dispense with the a series of devices for adjusting a guide in the side width direction of the sheets, to simplify a structure and to reduce manufacturing costs.
SOLUTION: This sheet feeder for a paper sheet printer is constructed in such a manner that a gap is formed in the upper side of stacked sheets, a pair of winding rollers 6a and 6b are positioned in the upstream and downstream sides of bite rollers 5a and 5b provided in the entrance of a feeder board and hung in a sheet side width direction, sheet guides 4 formed to be wider in the downstream side are wound on both end parts of the winding rollers 6a and 6b, and by the winding/unwinding of the winding rollers 6a and 6b, the set width of the sheet side width direction of each sheet guide 4 and the set length of a sheet transfer direction are changed.
