Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity in a scattered pattern manufacturing step and to eliminate the problem of environmental pollution by mounting a film incorporating a light scattering material on a transparent resin base board and performing embossing processing.
SOLUTION: An acrylic resin film 3 roughly uniformly containing TiO2 as a light scattering material and having a thickness of 100μm is formed on a transparent resin base board made of, for instance, an acrylic resin, and shaped roughly rectangular in section. A mold for forming a light scattered pattern with its density changed so as to realize a uniform light emitting intensity on a screen by forming many cylindrical recess parts to have large diameters in a direction away from a light source 8 is heated and pressurized, the mold is cooled in that condition and when the resin is cooled, the mold is peeled off (embossing processing). By this method, since no white ink is used, productivity is improved by eliminating its drying step and environmental pollution caused by solvent is prevented.
