MANUFACTURE OF FOAMED ALUMINUM PRODUCT

PURPOSE: To simply and easily manufacture a foamed aluminum product used for a sound absorbing material or a heat insulating material in good yield.
CONSTITUTION: At a prescribed position in the vicinity of the inner peripheral surface and at the prescribed position of the center part of peripheral wall in a vessel having a cross-sectional shape in the inner peripheral surface of the peripheral wall 2 corresponding to the shape of the outer periphery of the product 6 to be manufacture, by using the foaaming vessel 1 having the structure vertically fixing bars 3 for forming the fitting hole, the material prepared by adding a thickener and a forming agent to molten aluminum and stirring, is foamed in a foaming vessel 1 to form the block 4 of the foamed aluminum. This block 4 is sliced to a prescribed thickness and the foamed aluminum-made product 6 having the fitting holes 5 at the prescribed position in the vicinity of the outer peripheral edge and the prescribed position in the center part. Thus, the part 6b which is not suitable to the sound absorbing material and thhe heat insulating material having low foaming ratio and high density and hardness, is positively utilized as the fitting seat surface in the product 6, and with the other part 6a having stable foaming ratio, the sound absorbing and heat insulating function can be secured.
